So What Does that Label Actually Signify — CD Replication?
Saturday 10 September 2011 @ 8:32 pm

Packaging CDs and DVDs is likely to be among the most repeatedly overlooked yet highly important practices to come to terms with when replicating and manufacturing media discs. Even the littlest details can subtract from the top quality of the general product and therefore jeopardize your hard work. DVD and CD packaging is something you and your staff members definitely should get done correctly.

First thing you ought to know concerning CD and DVD product packaging: there’s a considerable distinction between the duplication and the replication of media discs. You’ll discover that there’s a world of difference, regardless that both appear broadly the same. Duplication utilizes exactly the same course of action you select in your house once you burn CD albums, though at a noticeably higher rate.

This said, it’s very annoying that this method is a little bit more costly because it is usually used when performing tiny quantities close to 10 thousand or even less. Also, it features a slightly reduced value in comparison with the complementary solution to CD packaging, production via replication.

DVD and CD product packaging through replication signifies that the info will be replicated by imprinting it all onto the DVDs and/or CDs. Next, they will be properly printed and also worked over with special coating. This is ordinarily carried out for 1000s of discs, and the achievable quality is indeed phenomenal. For smallish quantities this is usually not, unfortunately, economically viable.

You will also need to make a decision concerning whether or not to make use of common cases or alternatively the somewhat more showy digipacks. Standard cases would be the large clear plastic ones with a set of guides for your cardstock inserts. They are available in different types. They will hold several discs, and are well-liked mainly because they supply a little extra protection for that CD or DVD on the inside. Regretfully, they are also expensive and definitely not particularly eco friendly, unless you’re willing to fork out more for ones created from reprocessed components. Extra expensive: bio-degradable solutions having a nil or even a favorable CO2 foot print. By contrast, digipacks are usually manufactured of pressed paper employing a small disc holder made of PVC inside. Give some thought to getting inventive regarding your DVD and CD packaging. Utilizing our present-day tools, you will have the opportunity to go way further than the usual design featuring photos and graphics and go for something more less boring or even interactive for the DVD or CD packaging. Popup art, a larger number of raw materials, cut-outs made from paper, in addition to other artistic styles may do the trick making data products, information, films or maybe song tracks feature prominently in their respective marketing context. Free gifts as well as contests have also become incredibly popular inclusions in average product packaging media discs. People love collecting prints, collectible photo cards, signed memorabilia, and other stuff you could add to your DVD. Or possibly include unique codes buyers will put in on your current web page to access mystery videos or songs, register for online games, or maybe secure discounted rates.

Packaging CDs and DVDs can certainly have a serious effect on purchases and the view buyers may form of your product line. So make sure your CDs don’t fail by insisting on quality wrapping and design. This won’t need to ramp up production expenses: you can easily hire great design artists on the internet at highly affordable fees so the option is totally yours to go for…

Then make sure you have made a note of the profile names of the most important companies in your market. Perhaps somewhere down the line you can participate in a joint venture or have some type of cooperation with these people. Otherwise, your video profile page on the video sites will give the notion of being blank if it merely has one video to look at. Internet video marketing is one of the most valuable & quickest ways of advertising your company at this moment in time.

Online Video Clips Can Be Good for a Company’s Proceeds
Tuesday 3 March 2009 @ 8:04 pm

You most likely already know how necessary circulating your businesses online video is. For a company’s marketing director, Web video is a worthy source that can help to capture your potential clients’ attention & enhance the overall number of users to your company’s website. Short format professional videos are exceedingly effective in maintaining the target customers’ rather short attention. Moreover, if codes are adopted & video sharing is promoted, short format video commercials can be a good way to get one-way external links. and thus positively affect your firms rankings on Google. Maximise the value of your video content through Vidify’s video distribution partnerships.

In actual fact, promotional videos have become a valuable media for business or self-advertising. The following are a couple tips to distributing your own Web videos.

Firstly, you can post your short format promotional videos on your own site; although this would entail you to make your own video hosting arrangements. Instead, ask your online hosting solutions supplier if video downloading or video streaming functions are supported.

Video downloading is where your company viewers must download your short format video to their PC’s hard drive. They need to save the online video clip to their own workstation before they can play it using their personal computers video player or a downloadable video player software. There are video downloading service businesses that are reasonably inexpensive. There’s also a progressive downloading mechanism where your web visitors can play the video commercials at the same time as downloading them.

While video streaming on the other hand absolutely does away with the need to download the Internet video clips & permits immediate playback so it presents the most convenience to your Web users. Obviously, getting a video hosting provider that supports video streaming can cost you a pretty penny.

And finally, the more popular way to distribute short format professional videos is posting your sites to video distribution sites that possess their very own video hosting platform. These websites cost you nothing at all to log on and will on occasions pay you to post video clips. They also have an immense audience base and grasp; for example, YouTube gets around 19 million Web visits each & every month.

How A Self-publishing Writer Can Identify The Best Affiliate Programs
Monday 19 May 2008 @ 10:38 am

When it comes to selecting lucrative affiliate schemes, self-publishing writers have several advantages over non-writers. Probably the biggest one, even if it is not obvious to most writers, is the fact that a self-publishing writer already has the most lethal and effective marketing weapon known to the online world already in their possession. Others have to pay dearly to have access to this powerful online asset.

Writing and self-publishing or posting articles on the World Wide Web is one of the most effective online marketing tools anywhere. Self-publishing writers have the advantage of being able to do their own writing and in as much quantity as is necessary to be a success. Non-writers who wisely choose to use online self-publishing to market are usually forced to pay another online writer to do their writing for them.

Unfortunately this advantage is not fully appreciated by most self-publishing writers and many do not even believe that well written articles are such a powerful online marketing tool.

Although more and more writers are making serious money online from various affiliate programs, the vast majorities remain frustrated and unable to sell their services let alone make any money online from affiliate programs. Yet, make no mistake about it, affiliate programs offer the best opportunity for self-publishing writers to make a regular five or even six figure incomes. The truth of the matter is that it is much simpler for a writer to make serious cash from an affiliate program or two than it is for them to do so just from their writing. More so when you take into consideration the usual rates in the market for online writing.

So how does a self-publishing writer identify the right affiliate programs to join?

The Self-publishing Writer Should Go Where They Will Make The Best Use Of Their Skills

There are dozens of lucrative-looking affiliate programs that are bound to be competing for your attention at any one time. You may even know people who have already made it big with one affiliate program or other. Still a golden rule is that you should never join an affiliate scheme where you cannot make use of your special talents and skills. This is a rule that applies to anybody planning to join any affiliate scheme.

Everybody was born with some special talent. The purpose of that special talent was to get us through this journey called life. Yet most of us have chosen to ignore our talents and have instead preferred to imitate what others are doing as closely as possible. Be warned, doing this is the same as a Lion admiring the way a Cheetah hunts for food, using its’ sheer speed to race across the jungles of Africa to catch a speeding Antelope. Imagine what would happen if the King of the jungle would choose to start hunting like that? The lion is much slower than the Cheetah and has to get very close to it’s intended prey before it shows itself, and races across a shorter distance to catch its’ prey. Still it has the advantage of much more strength and power. A single swipe from its’ front paws can break the neck of most antelopes.

My point here is that we should always look to use our “assets”. The Lion knows better than to try and hunt like a Cheetah, because it would fail miserably. And that is precisely the reason why most folks fail at the affiliate programs they join.

A self-publishing writer is bound to be a very skilled or talented writer. So why not join an affiliate program where you can make use of this advantage? Why waste your time joining an affiliate program where you have to send out your ads to hundreds of safe lists or do some other unfamiliar online chores to succeed when you can write?

One Affiliate Program Where Self-publishing Writers Are Making A Fortune

The Google Adsense Program is an example of a popular affiliate program where self-publishing writers are already making a killing. Make no mistake about it, it is not easy to make money from Adsense, but self-publishing writers have a huge advantage over non-writers.

When I first joined the Adsense program I was bitterly disappointed at what I was earning. But then I soon noted that I was doing very little writing and spending all my time trying to find some magic formula to instantly start earning thousands of dollars. Although I acknowledged that I had a lot to learn, I decided to make use of what I already had - writing skills. So I started writing like crazy. It worked. I created many pages within my blogs and sure enough my earnings started rising steadily as I continued to learn and put my knowledge into practice.

You will not make instant wealth from Adsense, but it represents one of the best and most viable long-term Affiliate programs for any self-publishing writer to consistently make a regular five or six figure income. Especially those prepared to use their writing skills to the maximum even as they learn about the right keywords to use to maximize on earnings.

Actually to be totally honest, Adsense is one of the easiest affiliate programs to start making money from quickly. Other programs (apart from writing ones) have taken me months to earn a pittance. With Adsense, the first few cents were flowing in within a few days.

Self-publishing Writers Should Look For Affiliate Programs For Writers

There are not many affiliate programs for writers around yet, but a few good ones exist. And before I recommend one, let us make sure that we understand and fully appreciate the full value of an affiliate program specifically for self-publishing writers.

One of the other golden rules for making serious money from an affiliate scheme is to join a program dealing in a product or service that has a high and rising demand. There is a huge and rising demand for online writing. This demand is set to grow for many years to come. So any affiliate program for writers that allows a writer to refer other writers and earn revenue from this is very valuable because it means that a self-publishing writer can cash in on the demand for online writing by earning an income from other people’s writing. If that affiliate program also sells articles on behalf of writers and also allows writers with blogs or sites to refer webmasters looking to purchase content to that site then we are in serious business.

Profiting From Writing Your Own Ebook
Sunday 18 May 2008 @ 3:11 am

As you might have heard, the Internet is all about information. Millions of people logon to the Internet each day searching for information. They’re searching for everything from health and wellness to love and relationships. People crave information and will pay to get the info they want.

That’s why ebooks are the hottest products on the Internet. It’s digital information that’s downloadable and therefore brings instant gratification to the user. In just a matter of minutes, you can have expert knowledge saved on your hard drive that you can read at your leisure. It can be printed out and made into a regular book. It’s an incredible medium for writers and experts who would have before the Internet needed a publisher or magazine to print and sell their knowledge in book form.

The good news is just about anyone can write an ebook and sell it on the internet with virtually no cost. If you happen to be an expert on a particular subject then that’s a definite plus but you need not be an expert on a subject to write an ebook. If you think that sounds ridiculous, just think back to your school days. How many times were you given an assignment to write a lengthy report on a subject you knew nothing about? I remember writing several reports in high school and college on subjects I knew nothing about. The end result was always a report that read like an expert on the subject had written it. How did I do it? Research of course. That’s how we all did it. That was the whole purpose of the assignment. It was teaching you to conduct your own research and fact finding and then compiling that research into a report. You can use this same technique to write an ebook.

I’m going to reveal my age here. I remember way back in the 70’s seeing an ad in a magazine for this rather interesting book. It was titled “How to Pick Up Women.” It could only be bought through mail order. Unlike most books of the time the author of this book had an idea for a book that contained valuable information. Well, it was valuable to a whole lot of young men. The problem was that he was no expert on picking up women. So how did he write the book? Once again, research. Only this time the research involved conducting actual interviews with young women. That’s right. He just went out and started interviewing the average woman on the street. He asked questions like “what attracts you to a man?” and “what characteristics to you find sexy in a man?” Interestingly enough, there were plenty of women who were willing to give a few minutes of their time to answer questions for a book.

After completing the interviews, he compiled the information into a book and then preceded to print copies of the book himself using an old printing press he had purchased. No publisher wanted to publish his book. They of course changed their minds when they saw how many of the books were selling. The author couldn’t keep up with the orders. It seemed there were many thousands of men who wanted this information.

Now, 30 years later nothing has really changed. People are still in search of information. The good news is that you need not purchase a printing press to publish a book. You just need a computer and the power of the Internet. You can write your own ebook and start profiting almost right away. You can sell your ebook over and over again at almost 100% profit.

If you’re ready to become a best selling ebook author,
I’ve included a couple of sources to help you get started.
Here’s a free download. It’s an ebook entitled “How to Create Killer Info Products”
It’s an excellent report on creating ebooks written by Neil Maxwell-Keys.

Write Mini-Articles for Profit and Pleasure
Saturday 12 April 2008 @ 5:53 pm

Mini-articles, sometimes called ‘briefs’ or ’short takes’ can be anything from 200 to 500 words long, and they bear close similarity to everyday fillers, being both easy to produce and very rewarding if published. This is what you need to know to generate regular income from writing mini-articles.

* Writing mini-articles is a good way to get yourself known to editors who may commission you for longer features later.

* Begin by writing about subjects that interest you in magazines you read yourself.

* Watch out for special sections in some publications, where editors invite features on a common theme, sometimes a recipe or poem, frequently complaints, and so on.

* Anniversaries and celebrations are ideal subjects for you to concentrate on. Christmas, historic events, celebrity birthdays, make popular fillers for most publication types.

* Sentences and paragraphs should be short and punchy. Longer sentences and paragraphs look out of place and make hard work of reading these shorter pieces.

* Try to be different. Even if the subject is common, look for an unusual feature or aspect to focus on. Make it one that readers can relate to and make sure nothing similar has featured recently.

* Start by listing all main points you might include in your mini-article. List these in order of importance, from ‘1′ for most important down to however many points there are. This is usually the order they will take in your finished piece, but not always, and some editors favour keeping the most important, sometimes second most important piece to close the feature. Careful market research of your target magazines will help you spot what editors like and will increase your success rate.

* Stick to the article’s focus. Make sure each word deserves its place in your manuscript. Go through with a highlighter pen, marking essential pieces and looking for any that might be deleted.

* Avoid all unnecessary duplication. Look for related facts - similar or opposing - which might combine to form one sentence.

* Make your lead as strong as possible. Try including something to shock readers or search for odd and little known fact about your subject. Anything to attract and retain reader interest. This is what will compel the editor, and ultimately his readers, to finish reading your work.

* Try to get on as many press release mailing lists as you can. Press releases are an invaluable source of ideas for all kinds of manuscript. To illustrate, I recently received a press release from Dog’s Trust, formerly the National Canine Defence League, telling me that a new NCDL site was being opened close by. Celebrity Loyd Grossman was opening the event. From this tiny scrap of information I received several commissions to report on and photograph the event for dog lovers’ magazines.

* Don’t combine two or more subjects, albeit related. If you have too much material, save some for a future article on the same subject.

* Don’t pad your work. If you don’t have enough material for an article in your target magazine, rewrite your work for another magazine or research for further information.

* Do not use long, complicated words when everyday words will do. Articles should be easy and enjoyable to read.

Five Ways to Wake up the Creative Writer in you
Saturday 5 April 2008 @ 11:11 pm

Writing an article doesn’t just mean putting down thoughts into words then typing and writing it. You have to capture the interest of your readers and give them a reason to keep reading. You have to get the attention of the reader and have a firm grasp of their interest and pique their curiosity. Here are five ways you can get creative.

The main ingredient in writing an article is creativity. While creativity may come natural to many people, some of us get writers block. It can be a hair pulling ordeal just to get your creative juices flowing.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art. A clear and crisp depiction requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide. Similes and metaphors help a lot, but the way an article gets entwined word for word, sentence by sentence then paragraph by paragraph into a whole article develops the essence of the article.

So just what do you have to do when nothing comes to mind? That’s a fair question but unfortunately, there’s no surefire ways to get those perfect ideas to pop into your head. But, there are easy ways to get your creative juices flowing and put you into a perfect mindset and state of mind. Here are five of them.

1) Keep a diary or a journal in your pocket or with you at all times. You just never know when an idea is triggered by something you may hear, see, or smell. Your senses are your radar in finding great ideas. Write all of them into a journal and keep it with you for future reference. You may also write down anything that you have read or heard, someone’s ideas could be used to develop your own ideas and this is not stealing. Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere; it’s the development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax and take time to sort things out. You need a clear head. A jumbled mind cannot create any space for new ideas. If you are bothered by something, give yourself permission to get rid of it for awhile. Put it in the closet for a few minutes. Try closing your eyes and allowing yourself some quiet time. Block out all the sights sounds and smells around you. Turn your focus inward and breathe.

Try to relax every time that you can and think about your experiences and interactions with others. Your experiences are what shape your mindset and your opinions which could be reflected on your writings. Try to discover yourself, find out what triggers your emotions. Discover what inspires you and what ticks you off. You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can grow creatively.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativeness.

Creativity comes from being in a good state of mind and a messed up workplace that causes distraction won’t be conducive in firing up your creative flow.

Surround your working place with objects that makes you happy and relaxed. You may put up pictures, or scents, plants or anything that can to inspire you, relax you and get your creativeness cranking.

4) Set the mood. Setting the mood requires you to just go with the moment or to induce yourself to feeling what makes your mind works best. Finding out what makes you tick could help you find ways to get your creative juices flowing. Set the pace and tempo for your mood and everything else will follow.

There are many ways to set the mood. Some writers have been known to have a little sip of wine to stir up the imagination. Some use mood music while others let the lighting of the environment create the mood. You decide what sets your mood.

5) Go on a vacation and just do something crazy and out of the norm for you. Letting yourself go and have fun produces adrenaline which can make your imagination run wild. If your day is usually a busy one, take an quiet adventure or a solemn hike. Whatever it is that is unusual from your daily routine can take the rut out of your schedule.

In no time at all, your imagination will make use of that experience and get your creativeness to start working in overdrive.
