Then it was a choice among crayons, paints and palettes for an artist and designer to create art. It was a box of crayons that make one happy designer during his early years of formation.
Nowadays, designing has gone to the new age of advanced technology that utilizes computers and programming. As a designer used to handling tangible products such as the ever reliable crayons, computer technology is oftentimes scary and heart palpitating. With all that computer code and HTML tags and styles, it’s no wonder that most designers break out in cold sweat every time they are forced to put computer code around a text in a Word document to get the layout they want.
To help designers and artists alike to make their lives simpler, Adobe offers a complete package that brings designs straight from concept to the online world. On the other hand, Corel has also introduced new programs to help ease the burden of creating works of art with the use of the computer.
The new applications ensure that every designer’s nightmare will be gone, helping him/her to sleep more soundly at night. These programs can help designers utilize simple sites quickly and effectively.
The CS Advantage…
The new Adobe Creative Suite combines Adobe’s graphics applications and an efficient workflow that answers the needs of nearly every creative professional, from conceptualization to implementation, from print to Web. Not only do designers get one program at a time; rather, a whole suite of the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and GoLive software. It also includes the new Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional software to Acrobat Professional.
The Creative Suite is Adobe’s attempt to bind the applications together. Now, Adobe’s creative products use not only the same graphics engine but also the same type and color-management engines. Files that are created in one application can open easily in others with all their features intact. With a consistent user interface, moving from one application to another is easy.
And holding it all together is the new file-management and version-tracking technology Version Cue. The Version Cue lets you create and publish content for print and the Web faster, more easily, and more affordably. That’s why Adobe is introducing this one whole package as “the complete design environment for print and Web publishing”.
Adobe Photoshop for image editing- easily manage your images with the improved File Browser, quickly share design variations with Layer Comps, and instantly improve contrast with Shadow/Highlight correction; perform more precise editing and retouching with expanded support for 16-bit images and monitor changes to your image in the Histogram palette, which dynamically updates as you make adjustments.
Adobe Illustrator for drawing and vector graphics- with powerful new 3D features, advanced typographical controls, and a host of groundbreaking new design tools, this powerful upgrade from Illustrator 10 delivers the performance you need to make the most of your creativity; import Photoshop image compositions directly to Illustrator- or create drawings in Illustrator and import them directly into Photoshop; create native Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files using settings and options consistent with Adobe Acrobat Distiller software and get fast, consistent print results with features like Fit to Page, Print Preview, and support for Print Settings.
Adobe InDesign for page layout and design, and Adobe GoLive for Web layout- import your native vector and bitmap artwork directly into InDesign CS software for sophisticated print layouts or into Adobe GoLive CS software for powerful web pages. With the support of Adobe PDF and XML, you can easily output your pages to both print and the Web.
The Corel Advantage…
With the introduction of Corel Painter IX, commercial designers, photographers, and professional artists are able to use their natural talents and techniques to create breathtaking works of art. Corel ensures that the new program is a must-have software for creative professionals, whether they’re in film making, game development, commercial design, illustration, photography, or even fine arts.
With regards to performance and productivity, the Corel Painter IX boasts of significantly improved speed, new and enhanced Brush Control Palettes, Frames-per-Second Control, and Customizable Shortcut Keys. Professional users can extend their creative possibilities with new enhancements that include Artists’ Oils Painting System, Snap-to-Path Painting, improved Digital Watercolor, and Quick Clone.
What is exciting about this new software is that the Corel Painter IX is more compatible with other professional technologies, providing enhanced support to Adobe Photoshop, Wacom (including the Wacom Intuos3), and Color Management.
What’s more, getting started is easier than ever. Corel has provided various support guides to help end-users control their fear of tackling a seemingly intricate world of softwares and programs. Corel has provided a revitalized User Guide, the Painter IX Handbook that includes tutorials from leading creative professionals, access to free training videos, and academic courseware specifically designed for educators.
With powerful applications such as the Adobe CS and Corel, artists and designers alike can now combine both worlds of traditional art and sophisticated technology. The intricate tones of traditional art skills and techniques they’ve developed during their formation years as artists can be integrated with the incredible benefits that digital media can provide. Every creation can now be worthy of the exaltations and awe reserved for those found in galleries and exhibits. In addition, these art forms are now made at a faster and quicker rate than their original counterparts.

Where there is a successful Internet industry there is an affiliate-marketing program that feeds it. Affiliate marketing is a complex network of automated sites, which runs efficiently, effectively and with a remarkable level of simplicity. All of the major online brands have either encompassed or utilised the online affiliate marketing program, to maximise their own profits. But the real joy of the affiliate program is that it is free to be used by everybody. There are no restrictions, no prejudices and no qualifications required. All a person needs to sign up is a website, a strong work ethic and a little bit of determination.
Many online industries owe a great deal of their success to the affiliate program. The online gaming industry is one such enterprise that has utilised and almost pioneered the successful implementation of an affiliate program. Sports betting advertisements appear everywhere on sports related sites, and this is for good reason. Affiliates stand to earn up to 35% of the profits generated by each person that joins through their site. In a business where there are no real outlays and no customer service to concern yourself with, these chunks of the bookmakers money can soon add up to a sizeable pot. It is through these tantalising rewards that the casinos have truly embraced and developed the ethos of the affiliate program.
Sports betting sites have hundreds if not thousands of sites each bearing their brand banner. It is through this myriad of sites that the betting sites can reach out and communicate to people where they are most susceptible to their offers. Online banners leave Internet users just a click away from signing up and wagering their first bet. This is highly different to the static form of advertising that is used in the conventional non-interactive media. Sports betting sites, through their network of affiliates can reach out and spread their particular message to hundreds of thousands of Internet users. It is for this reason that they are all keenly competing to gain new custom, and do not jeopardise relations by being picky about who they choose.
The more sites that carry their web banners, the greater their area of influence. With more people seeing their site advertised, they are more likely to attract extra customers in what is already a hugely competitive market. With more customers this means more revenue, for not only the sports betting site but those affiliates that feed through the new members.

You will find a hostel vacation amazingly interesting if you learn to live reasonably. You are exposed to various shades of life, which will bring a more matured personality in you. But in order to keep yourself undisturbed throughout your vacation you need to study a few norms.
1. Before you keep your footsteps outdoors, ensure that everything is in order and there is no problem of curfew or lockouts. Otherwise you will end up in trouble and become a soft target for receiving complaints from your landlady and the friends around you.
2. Follow the basic manners like switching off the lights at night or washing your own dishes at the kitchen.
3. Be friendly with all the people around you but do not keep any intimacy unless you know everything about the person.
4. Keep your own materials in the right place so that there is no chance of robbery or accidentally losing it. Keep the money pouch or jewels safely without allowing any scope for pick pocketing.
5. Make sure that your hostel owner is considerate enough to charge you reasonably and offer discounts on occasions, or is enough fun loving to arrange picnics, functions or any entertaining programs.
Some of the additional tips are: Use earplugs to avoid listening to the noise from outside or the snores produced by your mates. Get a registration done so that you are offered discounts anywhere you travel in the world.
By adhering to the above you will enjoy your entire vacation.

Review your finances. Knowing where you stand today will help you design a plan for where you are going. If you are in debt up to your eyeballs, then apparently you are not prepared to retire. Right now, set a personal and family budget and include an amount for retirement. Talk to your employer about your retirement plan now. Check to see what you can contribute and if your employer provides matching funds.
Discuss various retirement possibilities with your spouse. Understand each other’s plans and make sure that you have all appropriate legal papers signed.
Review your benefits and social security statement. If you have any questions, call to have them explained. Don’t put this off until later.
Open an IRA. You can check with your bank to see if you are eligible to open an IRA and get help you with the process.
Think about how you want to spend your retirement years. After retirement, you may want to take another job, volunteer, travel, or hobby. The amount of retirement income you’ll need will depend on what you want to do with your time.

Creativity is one of the most important keys to
success in any business.
If you want to succeed in any business, you have to be
more creative and pragmatic.
Below are a few internet business tips on how to generate
new product ideas:
1. Solve an existing problem for people. There are
thousands of problems in the world. Create a product
that can provide a solution to one of those problems.
2. Find out what’s the current hot trend. You can find
out what the new trends are by watching T.V, reading
magazines and surfing the net. Just create a product
that’s related to the current hot trend.
3. Improve a product that is already on the market.
You see products at home, in ads, at stores etc. Just
take a product that’s already out there and improve it.
4. Create a new niche for a current product. You can
set yourself apart from your competition by creating a
niche. Your product could be faster, bigger, smaller,
or quicker than you competitor’s product.
5. Add on to an existing product. You could package
your current product with other related products. For
example, you could package a football with a team
jersey and football cards.
6. Reincarnate an older product. Maybe you have a
book that’s out of print and is no longer being sold.
You could change the title, design a new front cover,
and bring some of the old content up to date.
7. Ask your current customers. You could contact
some of your existing customers by phone or e-mail
and ask them what kind of new products they would
like to see on the market.
8. Combine two or more products together to create
a new one. For example, you could take a brief case
and add a thermos compartment inside to keep a
drink hot or cold.
9. Survey the people who visit your web site. You
could post a survey or questionnaire on your web site.
Ask visitors what kind of products they would like to
see on the market.
10. You could create a new market for your existing
product. For example, if you’re selling plastic bottles
to a pop company, you could turn around and sell
those bottles to a fruit drink company.
May these internet business tips help you to
make a lot of money.

In the pursuit of his Christian ministry, the Apostle Paul had a keen sense of teamwork, teamwork with God and with his brothers and sisters. This awareness he expresses by using compound Greek words that begin with the prepositional prefix, sun-. With an object in the dative case, sun means “together” or “with.” This same prepositional prefix has carried over into English, occurring in such words as “symbiotic,” “symphony,” “synergy” (the Greek sun-, represented by sym- or syn-). What follows is a brief survey of the words Paul employed to express this sharing of ministry. You will discover that such sharing continues among 21st-century Christians.
Paul calls us “co-citizens” and “joint heirs” and says we will “co-reign.” Because we are bound up with Christ, we share in His city, His inheritance, and His rule. But we also share the expectation of these future blessings with each other. Because of this, we “co-rejoice.”
Meanwhile, the struggle continues, and we “suffer together.” To endure such suffering, we “co-console” each other, and we live and die together.
But through it all, we are “co-workers.” Paul says that he and his associates are “God’s coworkers,” an amazing testimony both to the condescension of God–willing to stoop so low to work with the likes of us–and the corresponding elevation of Christians.
Paul’s letters yield for us an amazing number of men and women that Paul calls his “co-workers”: Timothy, “everyone,” the Corinthian Christians, Titus, Priscilla and Aquila, Urbanus, Epaphroditus, Clement and others, Mark and Aristarchus, Jesus Justus, Philemon, Demas and Luke. One brother Paul calls “my yoke-fellow,” a term synonymous with coworker (though it could be the man’s name).
Others Paul describes as if they are team members with him in an athletic competition–contending, striving, or struggling together. Two brothers Paul calls his “co-slaves.” Two he names as his “co-soldiers.” Because Paul considers himself a worker, a slave, a soldier, and an athlete for Christ, those who share the load with him also share these descriptions. This includes those of us who are laboring in the kingdom in modern times.
As a frequent prisoner for Christ, Paul appreciated those who ministered to him in prison, even if they themselves were free to come and go. Four he describes as “co-prisoners.” It could be that at least some of these voluntarily served Paul so constantly that their imprisonment was self-imposed.
All of these first-century Christians, as well as Christians alive today, are “partakers” or “partners” in the work of the kingdom. We share, have fellowship with, participate with, and keep company with other believers. Paul uses several compound terms to describe Christian unity. He says we must be united, of one accord, literally, “co-souls.” We are “conformed together” and “fitted together.” We cooperate and assist one another. We are “built together” and made “co-members of the same body.”
All of this togetherness, we must remember, is not a natural state–far from it! If left to ourselves, we human beings split apart at every seam, whether it is race, ethnicity, gender, or class. It is only Christ that binds us together. Only in Him can it be possible to say that in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, neither barbarian or Scythian, male or female; all are one in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:28; 1 Cor. 12:13; Col. 3:11).
Paul expresses the Christian’s union with Christ using the prepositional phrase, together with Christ. He reinforces this by employing compound verbs in which sun- is added to the beginning of the verb. This occurs in several of the key passages in Paul’s writings.
In Gal. 2:20, Paul uses “co-crucified” to describe how becoming united with Christ’s death changes the believer. Compare Matt. 27:44, Mark 15:32, and John 19:32, where the same verb describes the literal crucifixion of the thieves who died with Jesus. Paul says that as a result of his union with Christ’s death, he has died to the law, in order to live to God (v. 19). In the next verse he adds that he is no longer the one living, but Christ is living in him. True, he still lives “in flesh,” but it is a life of trusting in the Son of God, who loved him and gave himself up in his behalf. Note that this happens for the individual, not just for believers as a group. Christ died, not for humanity, but for you and me and everyone else as individuals, and only as individuals can we respond to Him.
This concept of “co-crucified” recurs in Rom. 6:6. Paul says, “Having known this, that the old man was co-crucified.” Although Christ goes unmentioned, the connection is definitely between the believer and ChristHe was the one crucified.
The consequence of this death of the old man is a burial, for Paul earlier says, we were buried together with Him” through baptism into death (v. 4). As a result of this union with Christ’s crucifixion and his burial, we also share in the new life of His resurrection: “we believe that also we will live with him” (suzēsomen, v. 8). Paul uses these same verbs in the parallel passage in Colossians (co-buried and co-raised, 2:12; co-made alive, 2:13; see also 3:1).
Because we belong to Christ, we belong to each other. Our union with Him unites us with every other person who is also united with Him in a grand and eternal fellowship.

99.9% of mortgage borrowers raise the money they need to buy their home in pounds sterling and pay the prevailing UK based interest rate. But it does not have to be that way……..
Whilst by its’ own historical standards, the UK’s domestic interest rates are low, they are still significantly higher than in the Eurozone, America, Switzerland and indeed, Japan. Therefore, you can currently borrow the money you need in Euros, $ dollars, Swiss Francs or Yen, secure the debt against your house in the UK and pay a much lower rate of interest.
The following 3 month money market interest rates illustrate the extent to which UK interest rates are ahead of other parts of the world:
Sterling £ 4.64%
US $ 4.48%
Eurozone 2.46%
Switzerland 1.03%
Japanese Yen 0.12%
(Source: 3 month Money Market Rates, Financial Times, 9/12/05)
But don’t expect to borrow money for your mortgage at these 3 month Money market rates. You will have to pay a premium for borrowing in an overseas currency. Nevertheless, if interest rates remained as they are now, there will still be significant interest rate savings to be made.
So why are less than 1% of UK domestic mortgages taken out in overseas currencies? The answer: there are extra risks.
Interest rates could buck historical trends and narrow the gap between sterling based rates and the rates for the currency in which the mortgage has been borrowed. This would reduce the interest rate saving and indeed, at some stage, could make the interest rate more expensive than for a standard £sterling mortgage.
But by far the biggest risk lies’ in changes in exchange rates. If you have borrowed in say, Yen, you eventually have to repay the loan in Yen. That would be fine if the Yen/Sterling exchange rates were frozen together - but they aren’t.
If sterling strengthened against the Yen, then you would have to convert less sterling back into yen to repay the loan than the sterling value of the money you initially borrowed. That would be great, an interest rate saving and pay back less than you borrowed. But if sterling fell against the Yen the reverse happens - you end up paying back more capital than you borrowed. So in this context, an overseas mortgage becomes a currency bet that sterling will not fall against the currency you borrowed. In other words you have converted your mortgage and what is probably your biggest personal liability, into a currency speculation. And secured your home against it! You could win but it’s not for the faint at heart!
Another point to be aware of is that you’ll need a deposit of at least 20% for your house purchase in order to qualify for a foreign currency mortgage.
Incidentally, there is now a second option. You can take out a mortgage in £sterling and have the interest rate you pay linked to a foreign interest rate. Whilst you avoid the currency exposure risk, you are still taking gamble that the overseas interest rate plus the interest rate premium you’ll have to pay, will remain lower than the UK’s domestic interest rates. These types of mortgage typically have a 5 year tie in clause. Therefore, you’ll have a hefty penalty to pay if you want to pay it off early, although the mortgage can usually be moved to another property. For some that represents an acceptable risk, especially if the mortgage is linked to the Swiss Franc interest rate which has been astonishingly low and stable over past years. For example, the interest rates in Switzerland have not moved above 1% in the last 4 years and the Eurozone interest rate has not changed in 5 years.
Nevertheless, part of the wording for a regulated investment warning comes to mind ….. past performance should not be construed as a guarantee of future performance ……
You pays your money and you takes your chance.

The state of Arkansas is a Southern state with a population of
nearly 3 million. Arkansas’ capital city is Little Rock, where
one of Arkansas’ casinos is located. The state of Arkansas is
the only U.S. state with an official pronunciation (ar-kan-SAW),
and the only state where diamonds are found naturally. There are
not a large number of Arkansas casinos, but visitors to Arkansas
can find gambling action in several places situated around the
state.
One popular Arkansas casino is Cherokee Casino in Siloam
Springs. This 50,000 square foot casino is open 24 hours a day
and features a restaurant and a bar with live music. This
Arkansas casino boasts 813 electronic gaming machines and over
40 tables for card games, roulette, craps and more-including 19
poker tables. One interesting feature of Cherokee Casino is that
they offer poker games that are played against other players
rather than the house. Cherokee Casino is an Arkansas casino
worth checking out.
Another Arkansas casino, located in Holiday Island, is Spinzz
Casino. This Arkansas casino was closed down because of gambling
law disputes but has recently reopened for business. Guests
visiting Spinzz Casino can stay at the nearby Spinzz Casino
Hotel to be close to the action.
Though there are not many Arkansas casinos, there is a town with
a rich casino history, which also happens to be former President
Clinton’s boyhood hometown. Hot Springs, Arkansas, in addition
to being celebrated for its naturally 140-degree mineral
springs, was one of America’s original “sin cities.” The town
was a meeting place for gangsters, but instead of shoot-outs and
showdowns, crime families such as the Nittis and the Capones
would come to Hot Springs to sit down and talk. Historic
Arkansas casinos were rampant in Hot Springs, and despite their
“illegal” designation, residents of the town insisted that the
casinos were good for business. At its peak, Hot Springs served
as a Mecca for gambling and tourists flocked to the colorful
Arkansas casinos lining its streets.
Today there are fewer choices for Arkansas casinos. However,
gamblers looking for great casino action can visit the exciting
Cherokee Casino or the centrally located Spinzz Casino. Of
course, online Arkansas casinos are always a great option for
anyone! Despite limited availability, Arkansas casinos have a
long and rich history and should not be overlooked by casino
aficionados and casual gamblers. Visit an Arkansas casino today!
Frozen shoulder is also known as adhesive capsulitis and the two terms are used almost interchangeably. The problem of frozen shoulder can start quite quickly after an injury or a frozen shoulder may sometimes develop more gradually without any obvious trigger.
Doctor’s first recognised adhesive capsulitis in the late 1800’s when they realised that it was a different condition from arthritis of the shoulder. Let me repeat this for emphasis:
Frozen shoulder is not a form of arthritis and it does not develop into arthritis.
A frozen shoulder can cause severe shoulder pain and pain that spreads down the arm towards the elbow or the wrist. Most frozen shoulder pain patients are frustrated by the stiffness in the shoulder joint but it is pain relief that they seek - most say that they could live with the stiffness if the pain went away.
One of the earliest experts to devote attention to adhesive capsulitis was an American orthopaedic expert called Codman. When he wrote a large textbook on shoulder pain in the 1930’s he only devoted a few pages to the subject of frozen shoulder, saying that frozen shoulder was common, but little was known about the cause or the problem inside the joint. Things have changed a lot in medicine since 1930 but doctor’s still don’t have a clear answer to the question of what triggers the process that leads to a frozen shoulder.
About twenty years after Codman first wrote his textbook, another doctor called Nevasier tried to perform surgical operations on the shoulders of patients who were suffering from frozen shoulder. During his attempts he found that the gristly capsule around the joint was stuck to the bone surface. He had to peel it away like a bandaid or elastoplast strip. Because of this he coined the name Adhesive Capsulitis. The terms frozen shoulder and adhesive capsulitis have been used interchangeably ever since.
Why does a frozen shoulder get stiff?
Inflammation anywhere in the body causes stickiness. The cells that control the inflammation process trigger a reaction in the tissues of the body and tend to cause adjacent bits to stick to each other - not usually on a permanent basis but certainly for some weeks or months.
Now - a capsule of gristle surrounds the shoulder joint and the capsule has a little flap or bag that hangs down into the armpit. If this little bag fills up with sticky fluid then the sides of it will stick together - making it very difficult to lift your arm above your head.
If the front of the capsule sticks itself to the bone of the upper arm then you will find it nearly impossible to rotate your arm properly - especially if you are trying to reach round into your back pocket if you’re male, or to fasten your bra if you’re a woman.
Add some general sticking of the area around the shoulder muscles and tendons and you can surely now see why the shoulder seems to freeze up and stiffen. It’s quite literally stuck with a kind of natural glue! Adhesive Capsulitis indeed.
The end result of the frozen shoulder process is that the capsule around the joint shrinks or contracts and stays tight and stiff for many, many months before it gradually recovers.
You can read more about frozen shoulder and other causes of shoulder pain on my website where you’ll also find useful information about other joint and muscle pain conditions.
Dr Gordon Cameron is a specialist in joint pain based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is an expert in frozen shoulder treatment and in whiplash injury
Dr Cameron has also created an electronic book on the subject of frozen shoulder. You can explore it and download a copy on his website by following the links to Frozen Shoulder above.
